The Lake House Story

Standing proudly just inside our front gate, you will be met by the original farmhouse of 422 Crussell Road.

The building of Boone Dam in the 1950’s resulted in many families relocating their homes, many of them completely intact, to higher ground. Images shared with us depict the Crussell family moving their home to the location it currently sits today. Parts of the original foundation made an appearance during the recent low water levels, but are now once again covered by the waters of Boone Lake.

Oh, the stories the walls of this place could tell! This small piece of history lent itself to us as we searched for the name we wanted this property to be known as. We love honoring the history of things, giving meaning to a name, bringing new life to something beautiful, and being able to share it with others.

This little house has made many changes over the years. Currently being renovated, while keeping much of the character intact, to be offered as part of our venue footprint.
